Baby killed in dog attack in northern NSW

A 12-month-old girl has died after being attacked by a Rottweiler dog at the family home in northern NSW.
The baby suffered critical injuries and was treated by paramedics, who rushed to the Greaves St home in Inverell about 2.20pm on Saturday.
The little girl died on the way to hospital.

Council rangers seized the dog in the backyard and took it away.
Police from New England District are conducting an investigation and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
