Police investigating after man assaulted on Sydney foot bridge overnight

A man is recovering in hospital after suffering a wound to his abdomen in Pyrmont overnight.

Police were called to the Pyrmont foot bridge about 1.45am where they found the injured 26-year-old man following the assault.

A group of three men who ran from the scene were found by officers at Railway Square and are now assisting police with their investigation.

The man’s wound is not considered life threatening.
