Armed men rob elderly NSW couple

Two thieves armed with a spade and tyre lever have forced their way into an elderly couple's Armidale home, fleeing with cash and jewellery.

The men had their faces covered when they knocked on the front door of the home at 4am on Thursday, pushing past the 78-year-old woman and demanding money from her 80-year-old de-facto partner.

They fled after robbing the home.
