Appeal over man pulled from NSW river

Police are investigating the movements of a man in the week leading up to his body being pulled from a river in NSW's Hunter region last month.

A member of the public spotted Craig Elkin, 43, just after 5.30pm on August 28 in the Hunter River at Morpeth.

While investigations indicate his death is not suspicious, police are appealing to the public to help them understand Mr Elkin's movements between August 23 and August 28.

He was last seen about 2am on August 23.

He was leaving an address on Glenarvon Road, Lorn, wearing dark blue tracksuit pants, a green T-shirt, a navy jumper and black and red running shoes.
