Alleged Sydney unit climber arrested

A 25-year-old man who allegedly climbed over a second-storey balcony of a Sydney harbourside block of units faces three breaking and entering charges.

Police say occupants of one unit in the Woolloomooloo block disturbed the man as he tried to gain entry through glass sliding doors around 12.30am and he left. He then allegedly climbed over the balcony next door and stole some cash, before returning to the first unit where residents forced him out.

He was arrested by a police patrol and was charged, being refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
