Alleged one-punch attack caught on camera in beachside Sydney suburb

A man has been knocked to the ground in the beachside Sydney suburb of Coogee in a brutal alleged one-punch attack caught on security video.

The victim, 41, suffered head injuries but is in a stable condition.

Rangi Moore, 26, who is accused of the one-punch attack was released on bail late on Sunday afternoon.

The lead up to the blow was caught on security cameras just after 11pm on Saturday on Coogee Bay Road.

A man in a white shirt is seen approaching a group, who witnesses say just left the same venue as him.

At first there is an embrace, but then the victim is punched. Police and paramedics were called.

The 41-year-old was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital where was in a stable condition on Sunday.

Moore was arrested at the scene and taken to Maroubra police station.He was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and was released on bail.
