Breast cancer con accused of assault

A Sydney man is accused of indecently assaulting a woman after telling her he knew how to detect breast cancer.

Youssef Saad, 47, was arrested in July and charged with three counts of indecent assault after he approached the 19-year-old on a street in inner western Ashfield and "insisted" she get into his vehicle to show him how to get to the CBD, police say.

During the trip, Saad indecently assaulted the woman by touching her breasts and vagina and forcing her right hand into his pants, court documents allege.

She fled the vehicle and reported the incident to Surry Hills police, telling them the Hurstville man told her he had medical training and knew a method for detecting breast cancer.

At Sutherland Local Court on Thursday, Saad, represented by lawyer Chris Nolan, was granted a bail extension until his next appearance, at Sydney's Downing Centre on September 22.
