NSW CRIME TRENDS IN THE TWO YEARS TO DECEMBER 2015:

INCREASES:

* Transport regulatory offences - up 41.3 per cent

* Possession and use of cocaine - up 35.9 per cent

* Possession and use of amphetamines - up 30.6 per cent

* Breach of bail conditions - up 14 per cent

* Steal from retail store - up by 6.7 per cent

STABLE:

* Domestic violence-related assault

* Non-domestic violence-related assault

* Murder

* Breach of bail conditions

* Trafficking in amphetamines

DECREASES:

* Prostitution - down 52.9 per cent

* Betting and gaming offences - down 46.1 per cent

* Robbery with a firearm - down 41.8 per cent

* Robbery with a non-firearm weapon - down 20.7 per cent

* Robbery without a weapon - down 19.3 per cent
