NSW police make dramatic drug arrest dressed in Santa hats
Sydney police have made a dramatic drug arrest today all while dressed as Santa's little helpers.
Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were patrolling the suburb of Merrylands dressed in Santa hats when they observed a man acting suspiciously at a nearby train station.
As the officer approached the man, he fled on foot – prompting all four officers to spread Christmas cheer with a spirited foot race.

A 37-year-old man was apprehended nearby and a search of his person revealed cannabis and fentanyl patches. 9News
CCTV from a nearby shop revealed that despite tackling the offender not one of the officers lost their Christmas hats.

He was issued a court attendance notice to appear in Fairfield Local Court at a later date.
