Pair rescued after boat capsizes in Sydney's west
A man and a teenage boy have been rescued after their boat capsized in a western Sydney river.
Emergency services responded to reports a small boat had capsized going over a weir on the Nepean River near Bruce Neal Drive, Penrith, just after 5pm today.
Four paramedic road crews and a rescue helicopter with a critical care doctor and a critical care paramedic on board were dispatched to the scene.

A man and a teenage boy were swept away in the rough water conditions before clinging to a tree.
A Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter and a NSWPF PolAir Helicopter both winched a patient to safety, NSW Ambulance said, in a statement.
They were both treated for minor cuts, bruises and exposure to the conditions and transported by road to the Nepean Hospital in a stable condition.
"We must be careful when out on the water — rough water conditions can end lives in seconds," NSW Ambulance inspector Emily Stevens said in a statement.
