NSW Government to announce thousands of extra Sydney bus services
Sydney bus passengers are in for a big boost, with the NSW Government set to add thousands of additional services to the struggling network.
The multi-million dollar pledge is expected to be announced by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian tomorrow ahead of the State Budget.
Hundreds of routes across the city will get a boost, with the eastern suburbs the biggest winner.
Suburbs around Bondi, Paddington and Randwick will get the lions share of the boost, while the Inner West and Western Suburbs will also have more frequent services.
9NEWS understands it’s part of the government’s “Growth Bus Strategy”.
With the CBD South East Light Rail running more than 12 months late, it’s an important election strategy for Premier Berejiklian to take the stress of workers trying to get into the CBD.
