Two former employees of a gambling company have been charged after a series of irregularities were noticed in fixed-price betting odds for NBA games last year.

It is alleged the two men, aged 24, from Sydney suburbs Ryde and Marsfield, accessed the company's betting system without authorisation and inflated odds on basketball games for short periods between October 29 and November 19 in 2017, police say.

Police allege 10 bets were placed during this time that had the potential to net more $400,000.

The pair were suspended from the company in November and will face Burwood Local Court on March 26.
