Both were taken to Campbelltown Hospital for assessment.

The Subaru driver and two passengers were treated at the scene by paramedics after suffering only minor injuries, police said.

The Mazda driver was breath tested at the scene and allegedly returned a positive reading.

Police said a secondary breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.266 - five times the legal limit.
