Two men charged with murder after man found dead in gaming cafe stairwell

Two men have been charged with murder after a Chinese national was found dead in a gaming cafe stairwell in Sydney's CBD.

Tao Cheng, 25, entered the FBI Cyber Cafe in the Meriton shopping precinct on Kent Street around 9pm on December 4 and his body was found by a cleaner three days later on December 7 at about 3pm.

The injuries suffered by Cheng have led police to label his death as "suspicious" and detectives are currently investigating the man's links to Sydney.

As part of police investigations, CCTV was released last week of two men officers wanted to speak with in relation to Cheng's death.

A 27-year-old man was arrested at a bar on Beamish Street, Campsie, last Friday.

He has been charged with murder.

The man faced court and was refused bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court in February.

A 25-year-old man was arrested with the help of Queensland Police on Stradbroke Island in Queensland yesterday.

He was charged "by virtue of a NSW arrest warrant" for murder.

"Strike Force Feyer investigators will fly to Queensland to apply for the man's extradition back to New South Wales in coming days," police said.
