NSW cops hunt man who removed tracker

A man being monitored by NSW corrective services has removed his tracking device and is on the run.

Police are hunting Scott David Lynn, wanted over an arrest warrant for failing to comply with an extended supervision order.

A police spokeswoman was unable to tell AAP if Lynn was on parole.

It's alleged he took off his electronic monitoring anklet at his Eastlakes home, in Sydney southeast, in April, and he hasn't been seen since, despite extensive searches.

The 37-year-old is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 172cm tall, of medium build, with a fair complexion, brown hair and blue eyes, police say.
