NSW community farewells 'radiant' domestic violence victim

A NSW woman allegedly bashed to death with a cricket bat on the Anzac Day long weekend has been remembered as a radiant presence in her community.
Tina Kontozis loved children and dancing, those gathered for her funeral in the southern Sydney suburb of Gymea heard today.
The childcare worker's death shocked the small community of Bundeena on the outskirts of Sydney, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
"Tina always saw the best in people and would constantly welcome anyone into her home with a smile," a priest giving her eulogy said.
"She always looked out for her family and friends."
The family said in the eulogy that they couldn't find a photo of Ms Kontozis by herself, indicating how much she loved people.
Her ex-partner Stephen Boyd, 51, has been charged with murder, assault and breaching an AVO.
He is due to appear in court against next month.
