Northern Beaches included in $100 'Dine and Discover' voucher pilot program
The NSW Government will fast track its $100 "dine and discover" voucher scheme for residents of the Northern Beaches as part of an expanded pilot program.
The scheme, announced in the 2020-21 Budget, gives residents four $25 vouchers to use on local hospitality and entertainment venues.
Its use was designed to help revive struggling local economies in the wake of widespread COVID-19 restrictions that forced many businesses to close their doors.

Now, as part of an expanded pilot program to be rolled out in February, residents of the Northern Beaches will be included alongside those in the CBD, Broken Hill and The Rocks.
The rollout of the pilot program will also hinge upon the circumstances of local health advice.
Upon the completion a successful pilot program it is expected the scheme will be rolled out for residents across NSW later this year.

The voucher scheme is aimed at re-inspiring spending at NSW's venues. Nine
The scheme works by giving every NSW resident aged 18 and over four $25 vouchers worth $100 in total.
Two of the vouchers can be spent on hospitality venues including restaurants, cafes, bars, pubs and clubs between Monday and Thursday.
The remaining two vouchers can be used for entertainment and recreation – taking in businesses such as museums, zoos, arts venues and live music.

Other industries eligible for the scheme include outdoor adventure tours, go-karting, indoor climbing, mini-golf and bowling alleys.
The entertainment vouchers are available seven days a week, but exclude public holidays.
Vouchers can only be used at participating NSW businesses which are registered as COVID-safe, and are distributed primarily through the Service NSW app and MyServiceNSW accounts.
The vouchers cannot be spent on the purchase of alcohol or gambling.
