A notorious Western Australian bikie has been taken away by police after officers swarmed his Karrinyup home.

Troy Mercanti was dishevelled and shirtless when he was led by police from the Brodrick Street property after an alleged assault report today.

At least one other person was also taken away from this address by police.

It's believed the property is owned by his mother.

Several people are assisting officers with their inquiries.

The notorious outlaw is due in court next month over an alleged fight with a rival at a fish and chip shop earlier this year.
