Not interested, Lambie says of aid advice
AAP
Independent senator Jacqui Lambie has no interest in seeing first-hand where Australia's foreign aid budget is spent.
The Australian Council for International Development has written to the senator, offering to help her become more informed about Australia's aid spending in the wake of her call to halve the $5 billion annual spend.
"I'm looking after my own backyard," Senator Lambie said, adding she was more concerned about pensioners and the homeless in Tasmania.
