Magnitude 5.7 earthquake felt near Darwin poses no tsunami threat

There is no tsunami threat from an earthquake that was felt near Darwin today.
The magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck in Indonesia's Banda Sea, about 600km north of the Northern Territory capital, about 8.40am (CDT).
The Joint Australian Tsunami Warning Centre says the quake poses no tsunami threat to the Australian mainland, islands or territories.
