The communications minister isn't putting a timeline on negotiations to shake up media laws, but he concedes they're outdated.
Reforms are back on the table after the departure of former prime minister Tony Abbott, who put them on the backburner.
Ahead of talks with major players, Mitch Fifield told Sky News on Monday he hasn't placed a time frame on the process to change laws that were created in the pre-internet age.
