Prime Minister Tony Abbott has ruled out any tax breaks as part of the government's Northern Australia economic push.

"So we have here a very significant package ... $1.2 billion of new spending ... the $5 billion concessional loan facility for economic infrastructure," he told reporters in Canberra on Thursday.
