No Russian visa snub: Bishop

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has hosed down Russian anger after several space agency staff were denied Australian visas to attend a conference in Queensland.
The Russian embassy in Canberra has claimed it was an "unfriendly" act by Australia in rejecting the visa applications of Roscosmos staff invited to a symposium.
"It came down to an administrative processing matter and the timing of it," Ms Bishop told reporters in Canberra on Tuesday, saying four other Russian citizens had received visas to attend the International Global Navigation Satellite Systems Society conference on the Gold Coast.
