Authorities have finished testing suspect cooling towers with no new cases of Legionnaires disease recorded since the outbreak in Sydney's inner west that claimed one life.

Four people contracted the disease after visiting areas in Burwood, Concord West and Rhodes, including an elderly patient who died in hospital after testing positive.

NSW Health confirmed on Friday afternoon that no new cases had been detected in the Burwood area and testing on cooling towers in the affected areas had been completed with results due early next week.
