No decision on French warship request:govt

The federal government is yet to decide whether to send an Australian warship to support a French aircraft carrier taskforce which is preparing to begin air-strikes against Islamic State.
Defence Minister Marise Payne says Australia has "limited ability to extend our contribution at this time because of what we are already doing".
But Australia is in talks with France over how to help and could pursue an alternative shorter training activity with the Charles de Gaulle, she told ABC radio on Thursday.
