"Please help us find justice for Nicole."

They're the words of a brother who's been missing his little sister for the past year.

Nicole Cartwright's battered body was found by a council worker in a park at Hunters Hill, on Sydney's lower north shore, exactly one year ago today.

He's speaking out, alongside police, in the hope of jogging someone's memory and getting that piece of information that might lead to a breakthrough.

Police have pieced together Nicole's movements up until the early hours of her birthday - October  1 - last year.

But her final 48 hours hold "significant gaps" they're desperate to fill.
