Grandmother thrashes robber with walking stick until he flees
A robber who demanded cash from a little old lady alone in a shop probably didn't expect this reaction.
Shop owner June Turner, 81, was by the counter at her newsagency in England early in the morning when a man walked in and demanded cash.
She didn't hesitate but grabbed her walking stick and thrashed the man with it until he fled, only managing to grab about £50, and some cigarettes.

He had to push Ms Turner to the ground to get away with her, leaving her with a black eye.
But the grandmother has no regrets, telling Metro she just wished she could have hit him harder.
"I thought to myself, I wish I had my wooden stick because then I would have knocked him out," she said.
"I went hell for leather on him."
