A teen allegedly on the run from police ended up in hospital today after the stolen ute he was driving rolled on the Gold Coast.

Police allege 18-year-old Logan Dreier broke into a house with two others in Maudsland this morning, while a 16-year-old girl was alone.

She was able to run out of the back door and phone police.

Officers say they chased the group to Movie World, where the trio ditched their stolen car and ran into bushland, where one was arrested.

Police claimed Dreier and the other person stole a ute.

The chase resumed before it ended in chaos on Queen Street in Southport when the ute rolled after clipping a curb, flinging Dreier six metres from the wreck.
