In another case of the people reading the news making the news, a Network Seven presenter has been caught saying 'f--k' on air.

Jessica Adamson, a weekend presenter on 7 News Adelaide, let out the f-bomb on Sunday's prime-time bulletin when it cut to a commercial break.

It is not clear what prompted the blooper which came after Adamson delivered the line "And the Big Ben cover-up: why its famous bongs are about to fall silent".

Channel Seven has not commented on the incident.

Adamson's faux pas came as ABC managers decided to remove weekend TV presenter Natasha Exelby from appearing on air after she was caught off-guard during a live broadcast on Sunday.

A short clip of the incident in which the presenter appeared to be daydreaming on the job was posted on the Facebook site of the ABC's own Media Watch show and quickly went viral.

The decision by the national broadcaster has resulted in protests from viewers, media figures and politicians over the innocent mistake.
