Moama: Thieves use bobcat to steal ATM from shopping centre

Police are searching for brazen thieves who used heavy machinery to steal an ATM from a shopping centre in southern New South Wales.

Emergency services were called to Moama Marketplace on Perricoota Road, Moama, about 4.30am after a bobcat was driven through the front doors and used to push over an ATM.

The ATM was then removed from the centre. It is unknown how much money the ATM contained.

A second ATM was extensively damaged by the bobcat, but remains in the building, police said.

Shoppers have told 9News they are “shocked” by the crime.

Investigations are now underway.
