Ian Talbot sentenced over explicit letters and phone calls

A serial stalker must behave himself for two years and complete 200 hours of unpaid work after sending sexually explicit letters and making calls to female workers at Melbourne businesses.

Ian Talbot was sentenced in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday to a 24-month community corrections order and ordered to undertake 200 hours of unpaid work, continue his psychological appointments and complete offender behaviour programs.

He previously pleading guilty to 10 counts of stalking between 2005 and 2018 when he sent handwritten letters to nine victims, aged 20 to 71, of an explicit nature, before following up with a call to ensure they received the correspondence.
