A driver suffering gunshot wounds has died in Melbourne’s south-east overnight.

Emergency services were called to Dawn Street in Dandenong about 9.55pm yesterday after the man’s silver Peugeot crashed into a pole.

Any witnesses are urged to come forward.  9news

The driver, a local man aged in his 50s, was found with gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating, with any witnesses urged to come forward.

The man’s death follows a triple shooting at a boxing bout in Kensington on Friday.

A 30-year-old man died and two others were injured in the attack, with police still hunting for the gunmen.
