Former Queensland union boss David Hanna has been found guilty of raping a drunk woman he met at a bar.

The former CFMEU state president denied three counts of rape and another charge of recording in breach of privacy, claiming their sex at the younger woman's Brisbane home in March 2017 was consensual.

A Brisbane District Court jury convicted the 54-year-old Hanna of all charges on Friday.

While there was no dispute the pair had sex, prosecutors argued she lacked the cognitive capacity to consent due to her high level of intoxication or gave no consent at all.

Hanna followed the woman into her home and raped her after they took a taxi to northern Brisbane suburb of Taigum.

In giving evidence, Hanna insisted she willingly participated in sex acts.

"(She was) in a vulnerable state," crown prosecutor Michael Lehane in sentencing submissions.

"He chose to take advantage of his position of dominance."

The court has heard the woman has suffered post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety and depression since the incident.
