Police have returned to search a property east of Adelaide linked to the alleged abduction and rape of a European tourist.

Detectives from the Special Crimes Investigation Branch searched the Murray Mallee farm along with other officers and members of the State Emergency Service today.

A 52-year-old man was arrested at the property on February 11 and has been charged with three counts of rape and unlawful detention of a 24-year-old woman who had posted an advertisement online looking for work.

During a court appearance in the days that followed, prosecutors revealed they were examining the possibility there were more victims.

Today's search appeared to focus on anywhere something could be hidden, with one officer lowered into a large water tank while others used shovels to check areas where the ground appeared disturbed.
