Aussie car lovers have eagerly begun placing orders for the new Mercedes ute which is anticipated to be the luxury vehicle manufacture’s avenue into the tradie market.
Mercedes-Benz Australia told 9NEWS it was already receiving expressions of interest from keen buyers across the county for the new X-Class utility.
The vehicle is still in its early concept stages however a test model sighting in Melbourne this morning was enough to spark excited discussion on social media about the manufacture’s latest design.
A Mercedes spokesman said official details and specifications of the X-Class would not be released until later in the year.
A roadworthy version of the ute won't hit Australian streets until 2018.
