Opie Bosson rides Mongolian Khan to win the 2015 Caulfield Cup

Opie Bosson had ridden Mongolian Khan to win the 2015 Caulfield Cup at the Caulfield Racecourse in Melbourne.

The four-year-old New Zealand horse, trained by Murray Baker, was a hot favourite to win heading into the race.

European horse Trip to Paris came second, followed by Our Ivanhowe in third place.

The stunning race marked the victorious jockey's first ever Caulfield Cup.

"He was beautiful, and relaxed. He cruised through it when I wanted him to, 2,400 metres, he eats it up," Bosson said of his triumphant horse.

Mr Baker confirmed the horse would take on the Melbourne Cup next.

"That will be the plan," he said.
