It will cost taxpayers more than $37 million to move four agriculture agencies out of Canberra.

Relocating the Grains Research and Development Corporation to Wagga will cost $31 million, the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation to Albury-Wodonga $2.5 million, and the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation to Hobart $4 million.

It's unknown how much moving the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority would cost because locations at either Armidale or Toowoomba are still being decided, a Senate estimates hearing was told on Monday.
