Two men wanted over early morning Mount Waverly ram-raid

Four minutes is all it took for two offenders to reverse a car through the doors of a liquor store and take off with cigarettes and booze in an early morning ram-raid in Melbourne’s south-east.

In the brazen smash and grab, the offenders casually backed their maroon Holden Captiva up to the Celebrations in Stephensons Street, Mount Waverley at 4.15am before carefully ramming the doors three times and forcing their way in. 

One of the hooded thieves loads up with cigarettes and expensive spirits before returning to the car and making their getaway.

Param Rehill's family has run the Stephensons Street Celebrations for almost seven years after moving to Australia from the UK and he told 9News that the family was obviously "devastated."

"You try your hardest to be honest and that kind of thing and something like this happens and obviously you think, why me but you know, you just gotta deal with it and move past it i guess."

The offenders left no fingerprints and were believed to be sporting stolen number plates.

The vehicle was last seen heading south along Stephensons Road.

Investigators are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone that may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time.
