Motorcyclist killed in crash north of Caboolture

A young motorcycle rider has died following a serious crash north of Caboolture.

Police said the 24-year-old man was riding on Simpson Road, Elimbah when his bike left the road and hit a tree just after 11.30am today.

Paramedics arrived a short time later, but the Arana Hills man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crash investigators are looking at the circumstances surrounding the accident.

They have asked for any witnesses with dashcam or CCTV footage which may help with the investigation is urged to contact CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
