Motorcyclist killed after hitting tree in Melbourne suburb

Police are investigating the death of a motorcyclist in north-west Melbourne yesterday.

The man was riding along Pascoe Road in Essendon when he crashed into a tree at about 5.25pm.

Police said he died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

Police are investigating the fatal crash and are urging any witnesses who have footage or information to contact them.
