Motorists in Sydney’s south west are being urged to prepare for delays after a car and a motorcycle crashed on the M5.

The crash occurred at Beverly Hills where King Georges Road intersects the M5 motorway.

All westbound lanes of the motorway are now open after being closed for a number of hours as emergency crews work to clear the debris.

The Transport Management Centre advises motorists to expect significant delays.

“Westbound motorists are advised to exit at King Georges Road,” the Centre said in a statement.

“Traffic is very heavy in both directions so motorists already in the area are advised to expect significant delays and allow plenty of extra travel time.”
