‘So saying you hate a religion gets you deported’

A self-styled pastor who had his visa cancelled after harassing worshippers at a Brisbane mosque has left Australia – but not before posting another video online.

Logan Robertson, of the Pillar Baptist Church, made headlines after he and a group of followers turned up at Brisbane's Kuraby Mosque earlier this month.

He was accused of abusing a teenager who filmed the intrusion.

The next day, Mr Robertson arrived at Darra Mosque, where A Current Affair's cameras captured a heated exchange between him and Islamic Council spokesman Ali Kadri.

He and his followers were charged with public nuisance and trespass offences, prompting Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton to cancel Mr Robertson's Australian visa.

Rather than fight the deportation order, the New Zealand native elected to leave Australia.

But before he did, he posted a video from inside his detention cell.

"So just saying you hate a religion now gets you deported from a country," Mr Robertson said in the video.

"How sick is a government that would do something like that."

He said he wasn't sure what his future held but that he was "sure God has a plan".

His latest post appears to indicate he has now travelled to the Philippines to set up his church there.
