A woman, aged in her 60s, has accidentally driven through a fence and over a ledge at a property on Awaba Street, Mosman in Sydney's north.

NSW Ambulance's David Lambert said the position of the vehicle made rescuing the woman difficult.

"When paramedics arrived on scene we encountered a vehicle suspended in mid-air with an occupant still within the vehicle," Mr Lambert said.

"Due to the difficult access, we worked collaboratively with other emergency services to carefully extricate the patient."

The woman was assessed at the scene for injuries but was found to be unharmed, and not requiring any additional care.
