Two more cases of measles have been confirmed in Victoria, with health authorities increasingly concerned about multiple undetected cases.

Officials have confirmed the two new cases are linked to that of a woman in Shepparton between June 21 and 25 who travelled by V/Line train to Southern Cross Station before going to Melbourne Airport and flying Jetstar to Brisbane, returning on June 28.

Acting Chief Health Officer Finn Romanes said on Saturday there was no direct connection between the three cases.

However investigations suggested there was now a potential spread of infection in Geelong, the Surf Coast, the western and northwest suburbs of Melbourne and the inner city.
