Police say they have found drugs with a street value of more than $30 million in what is possibly the largest clandestine laboratory uncovered in South Australia.

The drugs, believed to be ecstasy, were found in a shack at Walker Flat on the banks of the Murray River on Monday.

More than 100,000 tablets have been seized, as well as 60 litres of chemicals known to be used in the manufacture of illicit drugs, police said.

They allege that a truck on the property was used for manufacturing the drugs.

Police expect to remain at the scene for days.
