More small business bills enter parliament

Some small business owners will get a five per cent discount on their taxable income under budget measures introduced to parliament.

Unincorporated businesses will also be able to claim more than one work-related electronic item such as phones or laptops under fringe benefits tax exemptions.

"It's a ripper," Small Business Minister Bruce Billson told parliament on Wednesday, spruiking his vaunted small business package.
