More Aust MH17 bodies arrive home

More bodies of Australian MH17 victims have arrived home, two months after the disaster.

Several white hearses entered the Coroners Court of Victoria about 6pm on Thursday.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade would not confirm how many Australian victims were repatriated, and their identities were not released.

It comes days after a preliminary report on the crash was released by the Dutch Safety Board.

All 298 people on board the Malaysia Airlines flight, including 38 Australian nationals and residents, died when the plane was downed over eastern Ukraine on July 17.

Crash investigators said the wreckage of the flight was "consistent with the damage that would be expected from a large number of high-energy objects that penetrated the aircraft from outside".

The first bodies of the Australian victims arrived in Australia last week.

Melbourne hosted the national memorial service in August because 16 of the Australians killed were from Victoria.
