Australians with vision impairment will soon have greater access to books and publications in large print, braille and audio form.

The development follows Australia's ratification of the Marrakesh Treaty, an international agreement to help more than 285 million people worldwide.

Australia joins 11 other countries in ratifying the treaty, which will come into effect three months after 20 of them endorse the agreement.
