Drivers struck by concrete blocks on way to work in Brisbane's south

Three drivers were struck by large chunks of concrete in Brisbane's south in the early hours of this morning.

One man was on his way to work about 5.30am, travelling north on Beaudesert Road near Hamilton Road in Moorooka when a piece of concrete weighing five or six kilograms came crashing through his windscreen, hitting his face and filling the front half of his car with glass.

The man, who identified himself only as Efram, required two stitches to a cut under his eye.

Rob Van Der Zant was also targeted in about the same location just minutes earlier. A piece of concrete hit the front of his car.

"Normally I have my son sitting in the passenger seat so the 'what if?' game is sort of tearing me up a bit," he told 9NEWS.

A third driver has also reported having rocks thrown at their car at Moorooka this morning.

The offender is described as being Caucasian and wearing a beanie. He may have been in the middle of the median strip or on Beaudesert Road outside the school at the time.

Police are appealing for anyone who can identify the man or may have dashcam footage and was travelling on Beaudesert Road around the time of the incident to contact them.
