Pilot in serious condition after aircraft lands upside down at Moorabbin airport
A light plane has crash-landed at a Melbourne airport, with dozens of crews required to free the pilot trapped inside.
Emergency services were called to Moorabbin Airport just before 10am.
"One male had to pulled from the aircraft and has been transported to hospital with serious injuries," police said in a statement.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed they had treated a man in his 20s for head and lower body injuries at the scene before rushing him to The Alfred Hospital in a serious condition.
The small aircraft could be seen upside down surrounded by dozens of emergency service crew members.
The plane is believed to be a Bristell aricraft - a single engine ultralight plan with a low-wing and two-seats in side-by-side configuration.

The aircraft is registered to Soar Aviation and is believed to have been on a training flight when it went crashed.
A team of 24 firefighters from the Metropolitan Fire Brigade sprayed the aircraft with foam as a precaution while MFB Rescue Operators worked to free the pilot.
Soar Aviation declined to comment when contacted by 9News.
